lightStruct is all about a heightened sense of place, synthesizing digital art and architecture into one-of-a-kind projection exhibitions. Clients suggest a place or local project, lightStruct brings the light. Modular at its core, lightStruct mounts exhibits in any space. A veritable lumberyard of options, an exhibition might start as 2×4 (2 projectors x 4 artists) and grow to 15×15 (15 projectors x 15 artists), adaptable to an ever-evolving built environment.
lightStruct is a living catalog of immersive experiences. We maintain a comprehensive collaborative style (client, curator, artists) as the overlay to an ever-changing space, limitless in voice. lightStruct’s team walks the client from conceptual visualization to full production. In addition, lightStruct’s iterative nature maintain its experimental essence, defending against the banal and expanding the opportunities to enchant. lightStruct frames digital art to be seen, heard and discussed, aiming to be part of a larger, tangible discourse that generates connection between people, form and idea–an intimate immersive exhibition of memorable light art.
lightStuct was founded by Brett Phares, an artist and curator working in immersive art and the built environment. With 20+ years in interactive media, he has created innovative projects for both startups and international brands. He has exhibited internationally, and cofounded the annual immersive art festival Digital Graffiti, named by Smithsonian Magazine as one of top five immersive art experiences in the world.
